Ana Isabel Piris
Ana Isabel Piris is a somatic trauma and systemic therapist working with adults experiencing the effects of trauma, including PTSD and complex PTSD, developmental and relational trauma, childhood and attachment trauma, neglect, and family or intergenerational trauma.
Her approach recognises that trauma is not experienced through thoughts and memories alone. Its effects can also be expressed through the body and nervous system and may appear in everyday life as anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional overwhelm, disconnection, dissociation, shame or persistent patterns within relationships.
Somatic Trauma Therapy & Systemic Therapy
Ana integrates Somatic Trauma Therapy with systemic approaches, Biological Decoding and Family Constellations. This enables her to explore an individual’s experience within the wider context of relationships, family histories and patterns that may extend across generations.
Her way of working is warm, relational and collaborative. Therapy is approached at a pace appropriate to the individual, with attention to creating sufficient safety for difficult experiences to be explored without unnecessarily overwhelming the person.
Ana works in both English and Spanish and offers in-person and online sessions.
