Colin Fox

Colin is a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist whose practice combines the structured and collaborative principles of CBT with a trauma-informed approach.

Since qualifying, his continuing professional development has focused particularly on trauma-informed practice and on developing his knowledge and experience of working with people with ADHD and autism.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT provides a practical framework for understanding the relationships between thoughts, emotions, behaviours and lived experience. Colin works collaboratively with clients to explore patterns that may be contributing to current difficulties and to identify meaningful and achievable ways of approaching change.

His therapeutic style is grounded in curiosity, understanding and care. Recognising that people experience and process the world differently, he aims to create a therapeutic relationship in which clients can explore their experiences without judgement or pressure to fit a particular model.

Colin’s practice is fully LGBTQ+ affirming and welcomes people of all gender identities, sexual orientations and relationship styles, including people in polyamorous and other non-traditional relationships.

He offers a sliding scale for therapy, supporting greater accessibility to ongoing psychological support.
